Brake Components
Hawk Blues have great initial bite, but are hard on rotors. PFC 97’s have less initial bite, easy on rotors and have a significantly longer life. For Spec Miata’s we are now selling more PFC pads then Hawk’s. We have race winners using both, it’s simply your own preference.


Radiator
The KOYO 53mm Radiator is the best I have found. It fits perfectly into the factory mounts and the fans mount properly. Minor clearance of the bottom of the fan shroud may be needed for sway bar clearance.


Fluids & Oil
We use the following fluids in all of our Spec Miata's

Engine	Redline 40WT Race Oil
Transmission	Redline MTL Trans Lube
Differential	Redline 750W90 Gear Lube
Radiator	One bottle of Redline Water Wetter straight water - no antifreeze

Transmission
Transmission and differential removal and replacement tips. First thing is to drain the fluid and disconnect the battery. The front of the PPF is straight forward. The rear most bolt on and the differential has a special nut on top that locks the differential in place. After removing the long bolt, reinstall it about 6 turns. Then hit the bolt upwards with a hammer. This will remove the special nut. Do not loose the special nuts, as they are not available separately. Advanced Autosports has had replacements made, just in case.

The forward bolt on the differential is just like the rear one, except it has a built-in shoulder. Remove the front bolt and use the rear bolt to drive out the special nut. The front bolt also has a lower bushing that must be removed. A chisel or pry bar will remove the bushing.

Now the PPF can be removed. Once the PPF is removed the trans will tilt back far enough to give access to all the Bell housing bolts. The big trick is to place a 2 x 4 between the steering rack and the engine. This will keep the trans tilted back during install.


Seats
What size seat do I need? If you consider yourself to be skinny, get a 15” seat. I wear 38” waist jeans and use a 16” seat. Really big boys use a 17” seat.


Cool Suits
Once you try a Cool Suit you’ll never run without it again. Have you ever noticed your mind wondering (and lap times slowing) at the end of a race. Driver cooling helps eliminate fatigue and lack of concentration. I highly recommend having a set of replacement fittings in the trailer. The day you’ll need it will be the hottest day of the season.


Steering
The stock Miata steering wheel is approx 14 inches in diameter. The 320mm wheel is approx 13 inches in diameter. The Personal 320mm and the 13" aluminum wheels are our biggest sellers. For those with strong arms or a need for more cockpit room the 290mm wheel works well. The AIM wheels are designed specifically to mount the AIM data display screen on the steering wheel.

Flat Rate Shipping:
Advanced Autosports offers a flat rate shipping on most items. You can order 1 item or a case of the item and pay the same shipping charges. All items will be shipped via UPS ground unless otherwise stated. Items not eligible for flat rate shipping have this noted in their description. Expedited shipping is available. It is best to phone in expedited orders before 1pm Central time.


Free Shipping:
On selected small items (small decals), Advanced Autosports offers free shipping via United States Postal Service(USPS).


Non Flat Rate Shipping:
Certain items such as Jacks, Jack Stands, Seats, Roll cages etc., will be charged actual shipping charges. You will be invoiced for the flat rate fee at check-out. You will receive a second invoice through PayPal.com for any additional shipping charges. Purchases will not be shipped until additional shipping charges have been received.


International Orders:
International orders will record a $0.00 shipping fee at check out. Advanced Autosports uses the United States Postal Service (USPS) for all international shipping up to 20 pounds. International shipments over 20 pounds will have shipping carrier determined on a case by case basis. International orders will be invoiced through PayPal.com for actual shipping charges. Packages will not be shipped until full payment has been received.


Returns:
Advanced Autosports accepts returns on all items in new, resalable condition. All components and packaging must be acceptable for resale. Please call before shipping items. Refunds may be in the form of a store credit or refund through our payment system. Return shipping must be prepaid by the purchaser. Freight collect returns will not be accepted. A restocking fee of 10% may be applied to all returns.


Shortages/Errors:
We try very hard to ensure that your order is correct when shipped. But mistakes happen. If you receive a shortage or error, please contact us at 608-313-1230. Advanced Autosports will make every effort possible to make sure your experience with us is satisfactory.


Damages:
