There is no better way to make it easier to get in and out of your Spec Miata than a removable steering wheel. Either of our removable mechanisms will simply bolt onto your steering shaft. No welding is required, simple hand tools are all you need. Pick your release mechanism and then the wheel of your choice.

The hex style mechanism is our most popular. The steering wheel goes on 6 ways and operates off a spring loaded pin. The splined hub is manufactured by Sweet Engineering and features a tighter fit and a 360 degree release collar mechanism. This is the style used by most professional racers from Nascar to Grand Am.








Basic Alignment Setting and where to start; Ride Height is 5” from ground to lowest part of pinch weld. Adjust the spring perches to get equal cross weights LF-RR and RF-LR. Camber 2-1/2 all 4, Caster – Max Out And Even, Toe – 1/8” Out in Front and 1/16” in Back and Tire PSI 32-34 cold.

Dave’s Tech Tip’s
The stock Miata steering wheel is approx 14 inches in diameter. The 320mm wheel is approx 13 inches in diameter. The Personal 320mm and the 13" aluminum wheels are our biggest sellers. For those with strong arms or a need for more cockpit room the 290mm wheel works well. The AIM wheels are designed specifically to mount the AIM data display screen on the steering wheel.
